Vila Vlasta – New home for HG elektro and HRDLIČKA spol. s r.o.
The 1931 villa is becoming the new home of HG Electro and is being renovated and adapted for new use.
In the summer of 2023, the company Hrdlička Properties s.r.o. bought the beautiful first republican villa Vlasta dating from 1931 and bearing the name of the original owner. The villa is located in a quiet residential area in Klatovy at 348 Podhůrecká Street.
The villa will now house the headquarters of our subsidiary HG elektro s.r.o., which has moved here from the unsuitable premises in Dragounská Street and has its offices on the first floor of the building. On the ground floor is the Klatovy branch of HRDLIČKA spol. s r.o.. The villa has a relatively large attic space, the use of which is still being planned.
At present, the first stage of construction works is underway and shortly there will be a complete reconstruction of part of the interior and the exterior facade, including the surrounding areas.
The couple Egner, Rudolf, and Kateřina, are behind the creation of this villa. The Egners were the owners of the well-known, now defunct restaurant "U Egnerů", better known as "U Choda". Alois Mára, Kateřina Egnerová's father, was a renowned local innkeeper in his time. The Egners probably commissioned the Klatovy construction office of Emanuel Čap from Klatovy in 1930 to design the building documentation. The site chosen for the building was in the newly emerging residential area below Hůrka Hill in Na Balkáně Street, the original name of today's Podhůrecká Street. In February 1931, the Klatovy Town Council approved the plan and in March 1931 construction began, which was approved in September 1931.
In a short time, a barn and a small garden dwelling house, the so-called "fan house", were also built in the garden. Interestingly, the Egners never lived in the villa. As they owned the aforementioned restaurant and this occupation required working late, they had a room directly above the restaurant. The garden house, which had just been built, was used for the occasional overnight stay of the Egners. It can still be seen in the garden today. Unfortunately, its condition is not satisfactory and it will be demolished shortly.
The construction work will take some time, but we believe that we will gradually be able to build a representative facility where our companies will thrive!
